Missions is not a side ministry at Rio Grande Baptist Church — it is part of our identity. We currently support 18 mission programs at the state, national, and international levels. Every missionary we support is Independent Baptist and sent directly through the authority of a local church, not a mission board.

Throughout the year, we maintain a strong emphasis on prayer and financial support for missions. Each year we host a missions emphasis — sometimes a week-long conference and other times an extended month-long focus. In 2026, we will dedicate the month of October to strengthening our missions vision and increasing support for new fields.

Our desire is simple: to see local churches planted and strengthened both at home and around the world through faithful Gospel ministry.
